PLACEBO, 2025

Technique: Mixed media, traditional

printmaking

Dimensions: 6000× 6000 px

Placebo is a digital graphic centered around an oversized,

unidentified pill. Its purpose is deliberately undefined: it has no

prescribed function and can be imagined as a cure for whatever

the viewer chooses—physical pain, anxiety, loss, memory, fear, or something entirely

unknown. The work draws on the psychological mechanism of the placebo effect, where

belief, expectation, and suggestion can influence the way we experience reality. The pill

becomes a symbol of projection and personal conviction, questioning whether a cure

needs to possess an actual function, or whether believing in its power can be enough.
